Aerial Progress Photography – Savina San Diego

Bosa Development hired Spec Training Video for aerial progress photography to ensure the quality completion of the Savina condominium community. The goal of the construction photography project was to allow Bosa to visually document and monitor job site progress; streamlining the building process, improving safety, and providing regular construction updates to all interested stakeholders.

About Savina by Bosa

Located in downtown San Diego, the 36-story Savina tower is the first new high-rise condominium complex in San Diego in almost a decade. The project will offer sophisticated comfort in an urban waterfront setting with homes ranging from 1,200 sq ft to 2,400 sq ft.

Residents will be able to choose between two- and three-bedroom units, each designed with stylish and sophisticated interiors perfect for a downtown setting. In addition to luxury homes, Savina will provide over 24,000 square feet of hotel-inspired amenities from a lush pool terrace to a business lounge, elegant lobby, fully-equipped fitness center, and resident lounge.

Aerial Photography Project Scope

Spec Training Video’s aerial photography services were employed to provide a comprehensive overview of the residential construction project’s progress. Through each stage of development to completing all 36-stories, Spec Training Video provides detailed progress documentation, visually demonstrating the full scope of the residential building.

On a monthly basis, Spec Training Video will take methodical aerial drone images and video of the construction site. These drone photos, as well as drone video, provide stakeholders, building managers, and project managers with critical details of the Savina project from the ground up. With regular photographic evidence, Spec Training Video offers interested parties the ability to track the residential building project over time without the need to visit the job site in person.

The scope of the aerial photography project includes:
• Documentation of monthly construction progress.
• Creative aerial photos of the building for possible pre-sales marketing
• Drone photography of construction from all sides and all elevations

The ultimate goal of the aerial photography job is to provide Bosa Development with a month-by-month overview of site changes, which can be useful for vendors and clients. By capturing detailed images of the entire condominium, Spec Training Video can save Bosa Development money on costly and time-consuming site visits.

Aerial Photography on Construction Projects

From our perspective, Bosa decided to move forward with aerial photography because it was one of the most effective ways to resolve conflicts, avoid expensive delays, and provide valuable information to all concerned parties without the need for on-site visits. No other type of progress documentation could afford the comprehensive exterior coverage of Bosa’s high-rise construction site that the client required. San Diego has tight quarters between buildings, which a drone can successfuly navigate to achieve almost every angle.
